The Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Foreign Economic Association «Technopromexport» is one of the world’s leading companies in the field of construction of power projects and export of electricity. The core activity of Technopromexport is realization of power projects of any complexity on a turn-key basis: construction of power projects (full service provider from design and survey to project operation); thermal power plants (combined-cycle, gas turbine, geothermal, diesel); hydro power plants; power transmission lines and substations; export of electricity.
Technopromexport was founded in 1955 within The State Committee For Foreign Economic Relations. At that time the company was exclusively foreign contracts oriented, specializing in construction of power projects under the social countries cooperation programme. Activities of Technopromexport abroad was and remains a priority in terms of strengthening political positions of Russia on the international scene.
Starting from its foundation Technopromexport worked in market conditions competing with the leading international companies. Having realized a great number of power projects Technopromexport proves to be highly competitive and possess a substantial experience. Highly complicated projects were built in various political and geographical conditions in Northern Africa, Middle East, South-East Asia and other regions, where Technopromexport still occupies a leading position. Today none of the Russian companies can be compared with Technopromexport in terms of a number of constructed power projects which is proved by a considerable reference list of the company.
A range of power projects put into operation by Technopromexport is quite representative. They include thermal and diesel power plants with single generating units with capacity from 0,6 MW to 800 MW, hydro power plants with total installed capacity of 2100 MW, as well as power transmission lines and substations with voltage from 35 to 750 kV.
Among power plants commissioned by Technopromexport are such giant projects as The High Aswan Dam with capacity of 2100 MW in Egypt, Euphrates Hydro Power Complex with capacity of 800 MW in Syria, Haobinh HPP with capacity of 1920 MW, Enschwalde TPP with capacity of 3000 MW in Germany, Aghios Dimitrios HPP with capacity of 620 MW in Greece, Jijel HPP with capacity of 630 MW in Algeria, Multan HPP with capacity of 630 MW in Pakistan.
Only in China over the last decade Technopromexport has constructed and put into operation thermal power plants with total installed capacity of 4800 MW, including such power plants as Nankyn HPP (2õ300 MW), Yinko HPP (2x300 MW), Tzisyan HPP (2x500 MW), Imyn HPP (2x500 MW). In 2000 two big power generating units with capacity of 800 MW each working under supercritical gas parameters being the most powerful units ever exported by Russia were launched at Suizhong HPP.
In 1990’s Technopromexport started working in Russia putting into operation such power plants as Mutnovsky GeoTPP (Kamchatka) which uses geothermal power of earth and North-West CCPP in Saint-Petersburg.
The company pays specific attention to cooperation with CIS in solving problems of development and modernization of power industries of those countries. Thus Technopromexport has strong ties with energy specialists and power machine manufactures of Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, and states in Central Asia.
Complete equipment, supplied by Technopromexport to power projects, shows high technical and economic indices and meets the highest requirements power machines world market. Along with it, to provide high efficiency in project management, operation and modernization of thermal and hydro power plants, power transmission lines and other power facilities, Technopromexport at each phase of realization of power projects applies certified Quality Management System meeting ISO 9001:2000 standards.
